Mittagong Diesel Manifold Clean & Tune
Restore that lost Power

Mitsubishi Triton
"Thanks for your work with the Triton mate. It feels like a new car again, more power, better throttle response and better fuel economy. Thats the best money I've ever spent"

Toyota Hilux
"The Hilux has its power back again, Thanks mate !"

Cleaning your Diesel intake system should be done every 50,000km. The system includes the manifold itself, the EGR valve and the intake runners.
Completing the Diesel Clean & Tune will
*  Restore lost power outputs,
*  Improved Fuel Economy,
*  Improved Starting,
*  Reduced smoke, and
*  Improved throttle response.

In modern diesels Oil vapour is  introduced through the breather hoses into the intake under emission controls. When combined with the Nox gases from the EGR you get a build up that will eventually choke the intake and restrict the air supply unless cleaned on a regular basis.
The patented chemical cleaning process we use is only available to REPSOL service centres and is the best in the industry.

This is what two recent customer had to say after the process was completed.

Modern Diesel engines are actually the most efficient internal combustion engines.
Unlike petrol engines that use spark plugs to ignite the fuel in the combustion chamber, Diesels ingnite fuel with compression.
This means as the piston moves up in the cylinder bore, the air and fuel inside is compressed to the point that it ignites and combustion takes place.  Common rail fuel injection, variable injection timing and turbocharging has further increased the efficency and power of small diesel engines now found in many light commercial and passanger vehicles.

Unfortunately Diesels are also considered dirty from an enviromental stand point. For this reason many emission control systems have been produced to assist.  These systems do an excellent job of lowering emissions but if not maintained correctly and regularly will soon become a problem. Fortunately at Shields we have access to the best chemical cleaning process available in the world.

DPF = Diesel Particulate Filters,
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation,
SCR = Selective catalyst Reduction
DEF = Diesel exhaust fluid

As most people know, Diesels are designed to run hot and over long distances.  Buying a Diesel and using it to drive 5 km to the local shops is NOT what your engine was designed for and will quickly block up the emition controls. For this reason its even more import to have your diesel regularly cleaned and your oils and fluids.
